St John Ambulance was recently reorganised into an eight-region structure, with the goal of increasing accountability and maximising charitable outputs. Whilst delivering a more streamlined structure with fewer layers of management between the front-line and the St John Ambulance Board, the new structure meant that the organisation would require an efficient method of brand control and consistency of its marketing collateral across all eight regions, whilst enabling the regions to bespoke centrally designed marketing material to their local requirements.

Following several meetings to gain a clear understanding of the requirements, it became clear that the solution needed to be easily accessible, straightforward and not add complication to the process. In addition, it also needed to reflect St John Ambulance branding across its entirety, and also allow the regions to order anything from business cards to pull up banners, leaflets to branded treatment tents – all with the ability to be bespoke in line with central brand guidelines. Prism realised the most efficient way to deliver a solution which would encompass all of the requirements would be to bespoke and deploy their ICE (instantly create & edit) portal. ICE is accessed via a secure internet login from any PC, mobile or tablet and is configured to the precise requirements of St John Ambulance. The site is also branded in line with St John Ambulance’s own web sites and works to a product hierarchy affording easy navigation and access to all products. All products can be viewed on screen (with the option of printing a PDF proof locally) before being ordered and professionally printed by Prism. ICE is also configured to allow reports to be run in real-time enabling pro-active management of the ever increasing range of products available – currently in excess of 300 individual items. Due to the varying and bespoke nature of the products, any stock holding is virtually nil, with the vast majority of products printed on demand and then shipped to their required location within a 24 hour period.
